Search For The Loch Ness Monster

Director, Cinematographer, Writer, Editor.

An experimental documentary from inside the mind of the Loch Ness Monster- who interviews five teenagers about their hike across Scotland. In this film, I've allowed myself to stray further away from the conventional rules of storytelling than I ever have before.

A Streetcar Named Desire

Director, Cinematographer, Editor. â€‹

In collaboration with aspiring actors and a musical composer, I made a short film adaption of Scene 1 from 'A Streetcar Named Desire'. Typically, when the contents of a story come from within myself, I have a clear macro-level understanding of all its elements. However, in this case, that understanding took longer to develop due to it originally being written by Tennessee Williams. This meant the entire process became a continuous interpretation and examination of what Williams was really getting at with Blanche Dubois' journey.

Our Liminality

An excerpt

Director, Cinematographer, Editor, Co-Writer.

Undisputably my most personal project, this short film was crafted from a far longer cut I made when first getting into filmmaking. Filming this involved going out into the London Underground network at night and finding locations of aesthetic but also meaningful interest relating to intermediacy. Wong-Kar Wai's 'Fallen Angels' is an obvious inspiration here as seen in the overwhelming digital step-printing and neon colour scheme.

Superhero Interlude

Director, Writer, Cinematographer, Editor.

This was my distinct take on the modern-day video-essay phenomena, in which I imitated the different forms that opinion discourse has taken over time. I implemented a quad-parallel narrative between a nonsensical talk-show host, an over-emotive video essayist, audio of a vox populi interview, and finally a replication of a 'Word Of The Week' announcement that is run weekly at my school. All of this ultimately culminating to bring into question the value of any opinion in the over-opinionated climate that exists nowadays online.

School Is Over.

Director, Editor.

During my time at college, I frequently made content for my school's social media accounts. This culminated in an end-of-school film that brought together the entire year group's life over the past 7 years into one seamless story. This project provided valuable experience in mass communication, as ensuring everyone uploaded videos/photos of themselves and their friends required extensive effort across all 200 students over only a week.
